Our resident Sport Physiotherapist, Adam Woolacott, spent the weekend up in Sydney learning all the latest research in optimising biomechanics in cycling and rehabilitation of cycling injuries under Olympic Physiotherapist Trish Wisby-Roth.

There is a large body of research that indicates bike set up and peddling techniques can both signficiantly improve cycling performance and minimise the risk of repetitive strain injuries. Physiotherapists are the perfect practitioners to give guidance on bike setup to accommodate any muscle and joint limitations in the rider, advice on cycling technique to optimise muscle recruitment and to put in place a strengthening and stretching program to address any biomechanical or muscle control issues.
