Congratulations to Bega Cheese for taking out first place at the 2012 WorkCover NSW SafeWork Awards in the Best workplace health and safety management system. Bega Cheese were recognised for their ‘safety first’ initiative designed to improve the health and wellbeing of its workers and overall safety culture.
Sapphire Coast Physiotherapy work on-site at Bega Cheese providing fast access to physiotherapy following an injury. This assists in quicker recovery times and gets worker’s back to suitable duties sooner.
During 2010-11 claims were reduced by more than 40% and lost time hours reduced by almost 4000 on the previous period!
“Sapphire Coats Physiotherapy has been working closely with Bega Cheese since 2006. The aim of physiotherapy in the workplace is to provide fast access to treatment, resulting in faster recovery” said Adam Wollacott from Sapphire Coast Physiotherapy.
