Sapphire Coast Physiotherapy has been nominated in The Salvation Army Employ-ment Plus Business and Employment Award Category for the 2011 NSW/ACT Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
Sapphire Coast Physiotherapy has combined and created an umbrella network for a variety of small practices in Bega, Merimbula, Eden, Bombala and Cooma with the hope to improve services for clients within their region.
With the combined efforts of these practices they hope to build and advance on current services and increase employment opportunities for local residents.
Sapphire Coast Physiotherapy believes in maintaining happy staff that always results in happy patients as well as increased productivity in working environments.
With a strong emphasis on flexibility, the organisation has introduced flexible working hours to staff, enabling the practices to extend their opening hours during the week which accommodates their regular patients.
With programs to improve the skill of individual staff members, Sapphire Coast Phyisotherapy is pioneering initiatives that combine physiotherapy with other specialist sectors of the health industry.
This allows the practices to evolve with their patients and continue to grow and prosper with their local community.
Winners will be announced at a gala presentation on Saturday, November 5.
